Despite facing a full moon and near-60-degree temps, our guide’s knowledge, preparation, and private land access proved more formidable. Eight birds were harvested, limiting the group out for the day.

Exciting morning out in the field. With colder weather, the Jan 2 group will see LOTS of action.
There were probably 10,000 geese flying around within sight of us at various times.
By getting up at 5AM, donning elaborate camo, sitting silent in the cold for hours with no shots, paying money for an expert guide, high end blind, specially picked farm field and a hundred hand made stuffed goose decoys, we managed to come away with our limit of a humble two geese each.
We got the few careless ones. All the rest are surely laughing at us.
Priceless.
Wild animals are going to do what they’re going to do. A good guide is a nice insurance policy.
